Handheld Counter IED systems are portable detection and security devices designed to help identify potential explosive threats in military, law enforcement, and public safety environments. These systems are commonly used during patrol missions, checkpoint inspections, border surveillance, and urban security operations where rapid threat assessment is critical. And now from people we know too. We are advised by the police to contact the sender (if we know them) to check they did send an attachment. If we do not know the sender then do not open it.

Our banks, the police and reputable companies will never ask for sensitive or financial details via email, phone or text.

To protect yourself from scams, known as 'phishing':

• don’t open attachments or click on links in emails or texts from senders you don’t know

• never give out personal information, financial details or passwords in response to an email, when you receive an unexpected phone call or in response to a text message

• set up spam filters on all of your accounts
